Celebrate Western Welcome Week, South Suburban-Style
Howdy! Nothing combines summer and community better than Western Welcome Week (WWW)! Now in its 89th Year, WWW is an annual community celebration in the greater Littleton area. This year it runs Aug. 11 – Aug. 20 with the theme, Thank you... Military, Police, Fire.
WWW offers a vast array of family-friendly events and programs and of course the signature Festival Day and the 89th Grand parade, as well as the 58th annual Arts & Crafts Fair, free live entertainment and more.
We have a long history of partnering with WWW and are co-sponsoring the 28th Family Night - Concert in the Park & Fireworks on Fri., Aug. 11 in Sterne Park. Kick back and enjoy live music, courtesy of the Denver Municipal Band Jazz Ensemble, barbecue available through the Rotary Club of Littleton and fabulous Fireworks at dusk, as the community kicks off the nine-day festival.
Our partnership with WWW doesn’t end here.
Join us for nine holes of fun under the stars with Moonlight Golf at Littleton Golf and Tennis Club on Sat., Aug. 12. Play with a glow golf ball. It’s strictly a social outing for golfers and non-golfers alike.
Run for your carbs by participating in the Pancake Stampede 5K! Work up an appetite for the deluxe pancake breakfast as you run 3.1 miles along the Mary Carter Greenway trail. The race course starts and ends at Hudson Gardens & Event Center on Sun., Aug. 13.
We offer an opportunity to strike it rich with the free 22nd Gold Panning on the Platte on Sat., Aug. 12. Another family-friendly favorite is the 24th Stampede! for Open Space on Sat., Aug. 12 at Carson Nature Center.
