June 2018 Temporary Art Exhibits

Each month, the South Suburban Public Art Committee selects local artists to display their work at District recreation centers and selects one artist quarterly for an exhibit at the Lone Tree Golf Club & Hotel. Art displays at these facilities are intended to support and promote South Suburban's mission to enrich the lives of all its residents and encourage a legacy of art to be enjoyed and appreciated.

Name:  Dick Gallagher
Residence: Lakewood
Medium:  Paintings
Collection:  Dick exhibit Inked Car Art displays vintage cars and trucks from many manufacturers in street scenes or individually.  Inherent are street scenes are small town images from the artist’s youth.

Residence: Littleton
Medium: Photography
Collection: Let Shel’s photographs take you to far off places with his latest exhibit featuring people, places, wildlife and more.

Name: Halley VanDeroef
Residence:  Littleton
Medium: Mixed Media
Collection:  Halley is a 2018 graduate of East Elementary School in Littleton and her exhibit contains her work done as an art student there. She works in oils, pastels, watercolors, clay and other mediums.

Name: Leslie Allen
Residence:  Denver
Medium: Painting
Collection:  Leslie’s exhibit titled Golf Series showcases her love of the game!  Her oil paintings include abstract aerial views of golf courses, fairways, bunkers, greens, and of course the unsurmountable water hazards.
On display at: Lone Tree Golf Club & Hotel, April 1 – June 30, 2018


South Suburban's Public Art Committee encourages all Colorado artists to submit an application to display their artwork on a temporary basis.
