Purpose

To ensure compliance with safety regulations and control tax liability by both private and group training activities/instruction.

Policy

South Suburban Park and Recreation District operates recreational facilities and all its related programs in strict compliance with numerous local, state, and federal laws and regulations, which govern safety in public facilities. To ensure compliance with such laws and regulations, and to control exposure to tax liability, only employees and contractors of South Suburban Park and Recreation District are authorized to provide private or group training, instruction or personal/ lessons on District premises.

Any person who engages in personal training, instruction or lessons, without regard to whether such person is receiving monetary compensation, must immediately cease and desist from such unauthorized activity or be subject to ejection from the facility.
