Dog Parks and Policies

From open spaces and trails to off-leash dog parks, South Suburban’s pet-friendly outdoor spaces are the perfect playground for your pup!

Pet Policies

When visiting South Suburban parks, open spaces and trails, dogs and other pets must be on a leash not to exceed six feet in length. Pets must be under the control of the owner or person handling the animal. Dogs are only allowed off-leash in the off-leash dog parks listed on this page. Pet handlers are responsible for cleaning up and properly disposing of all animal waste.

Dog Parks

All dogs are welcome at South Suburban’s two dog parks. Furry friends can exercise and socialize at these enclosed, off-leash bark parks:

Bark Park at David A. Lorenz Regional Park
4790 E. County Line Road, Littleton, CO 80126

This two-acre park is open from 6 am-11 pm and includes areas for smaller and larger dogs, a lit shelter with picnic tables, benches, and great mountain views.

Wynetka Ponds Bark Park
5875 S Lowell Blvd, Littleton, CO 80123

This park is open from 6 am-11 pm and features two fenced-in grassy areas for dogs of different sizes and play styles, as well as a shaded pavilion, benches, water fountains (open seasonally) and a parking lot off of South Lowell Boulevard.

Dog Park Rules

  • Owners please clean up after your dogs and carry a leash at all times.
  • Aggressive dogs, dogs in season, and puppies under four months are not allowed.
  • The small dog enclosure is for dogs under 25 pounds only.
  • Adults must supervise children, please keep gates closed.
  • All dogs must be licensed & vaccinated, spayed or neutered dogs recommended, limit three dogs per person.
  • Dogs must be supervised at all times.
  • Owners are responsible for the actions and behavior of their dogs. Use at your own risk.

Love hanging outside with your favorite paw-tner? South Suburban is looking for pet ambassadors to become B.A.R.K. Rangers! These dogs and owners follow basic principles to ensure everyone in our community has a positive experience.
