Douglas H. Buck Community Recreation Center

The Douglas H. Buck Community Recreation Center offers activities and programs for all ages. Swim laps, soothe your muscles in the therapeutic pool, or play in the lazy river. Check out the cardio equipment, hit the track, or take a new class.

At the Buck Recreation Center, there’s plenty to enjoy, and it’s all just steps away from downtown Littleton and the Littleton Community Trail.  

Admission

Daily admission and passes include use of pool, gym, weight room, cardio and circuit equipment, track, and drop-in fitness classes. Specialty programs and services (e.g. martial arts, personal training, dance classes, swim lessons) are available for an additional fee.

All guests must pay a daily admission for general facility use, spectating is not permitted for general facility use, only registration based programs and classes.

To receive Resident rates, you must have a valid South Suburban Resident Account.

Household pricing consists of a maximum two adults and three children up to the ages of 17 living at home.  Additional child options are available for additional fees.

*Charges for monthly passes are billed on the first day of each month and require a valid card on file. The cost of a monthly pass will be prorated for days remaining in the month the pass is purchased. Passholders must hold the monthly pass for a minimum of two months before it can be canceled. This two-month period begins on the day the pass was purchased.

pass cancellation request form may be submitted at any time during the month (prior to the next recurring payment date). After submitting a cancellation request, passholders will have access to the center and amenities for the remainder of the month.

Pass cancellations may not be submitted two or more months in advance.

**Annual passes may be paid in full or auto-debited over the course of 3 consecutive monthly payments.

***Punch Passes expire 3 years after the date of purchase.

Aquatics area

Whether you're looking to get in a few laps, take an aquatics fitness class, relax in the hot tub, or have fun with the kids, the Douglas H. Buck Recreation Center is the perfect place – no matter the conditions outside. The pool area features:

  • 25-yard lap lanes (3)
  • Children's slide
  • Leisure pool with lazy river
  • Outdoor hot tub
  • Play features
  • Steam room
  • Therapy pool and therapy jet area
  • Zero-depth entry children's area

Children 5 and under must be accompanied by a guardian (age 16+) in the water at all times.

Children 6-9 years old must be actively observed by a guardian (age 16+) unless they are a “non-swimmer” in which they need to be accompanied by a guardian in the water at all times.

Special Programs

Arts/Enrichment/Dance

Explore and grow in a variety of Arts, Enrichment and Dance classes for youth and adults.  Choose from theatre, photography, STEM, crafts, pottery, music and more, current classes available here.  Dance programs include recreational dance classes, as well as the Academy of Dance which offers challenging, comprehensive dance training designed specifically for students age 3-16.  Youth receive quality studio instruction in a fun and engaging setting at a fraction of the cost of other studio classes.

Aquatics

Aquatics offerings include swim lessons, swim teams, birthday parties, American Red Cross Classes and more.  Check out all offerings here.

Day camps

No school? No worries! We offer a variety of specialty camps and full-day camps during summer, fall, winter and spring breaks and during most holidays and in-service days.

Fitness and Personal Training

Choose from a variety of specialty fitness classes such as small group weight training, Tai Chi, Pilates Reformer and more.  Personal trainers are also available for hire.

Sports

Sports include Pickleball, Basketball, Volleyball, and more.  Instructional classes/clinics are available in addition to youth and adult sports leagues.  Check out more information here.

South Suburban Therapeutic Adaptive Recreation (STAR)

Buck Recreation Center is the home of our therapeutic and adaptive recreation department. STAR's mission is to enhance opportunities for individuals with disabilities to participate in leisure services through inclusion and specially designed programs. STAR offers a variety of classes, programs and events.
