FREE Guided Nature Hikes
These hikes are led by South Suburban professional naturalists who offer insight and education into natural ecosystems within the RidgeGate open space.

Maintenance and upgrades to recreation centers in August
Our recreation centers’ improvements, major cleaning and installation of new equipment are on a staggered schedule in August. When one center closes for improvements, the other three remain open. Use your passes and punches to visit other centers so you won't miss a workout!  Dates for updates and maintenance closures are:
August 6 - 10, (gymnasium closes Aug 5 and one racquetball court closes Jul 30 – Aug 10) Lone Tree Recreation Center

Fall Youth Lacrosse

Youth High School Fall Baseball
South Suburban is teaming up with our friends at the City of Aurora to launch our first ever, Fall High School Baseball League. It will be an 8-game season with games being held on Saturday afternoons and evenings.

Pickleball Clinics:
Come for a two-hour introductory class to this badminton/tennis/table tennis-like sport classes.  Participants will be challenged to develop their skills by our seasoned instructors.

FREE Family Night Concert in the Park and Fireworks
Bring your picnic dinner, chairs and blankets, then sit back and listen to the Denver Municipal Band, the drum lines from Arapahoe and Heritage high schools and more. Watch the fireworks around 9:30 pm.

Stampede for Open Space and Gold-panning 
The South Metro Land Conservancy hosts an event every year during Littleton's Western Welcome Week to raise funds to protect open lands. Join us to hear tales spun by a mountain man and tales told in a tipi, free gold-panning, farm games, and much more!

The Pancake Stampede 5K

Perseids Meteor Shower Party
Join South Platte Park for the biggest celestial show of the summer! Lay back in our lakeside meadow and enjoy a campfire, s’mores and good ol’ fashion stargazing before the bustle of fall begins.  The Perseids produces up to 100 meteors per hour, and with a new moon this year and little light interference, this natural firework show should be spectacular!

Hawaiian Ink Day Camp
Learn Polynesian tattoo designs, such as hibiscus flower or shark teeth, practice on paper, create a wall hanging to take home, and finally, use an FDA approved temporary ink on arm or hand to paint your own tattoo (easily removable with baby oil) in traditional black.  Come try out your tattooing skills in this fun day camp!
