November 2018 Temporary Art Exhibit

Each month, the South Suburban Public Art Committee selects local artists to display their work at South Suburban recreation centers and selects one artist quarterly for an exhibit at the Lone Tree Golf Club & Hotel. Art displays at these facilities are intended to support and promote South Suburban's mission to enrich the lives of all its residents and encourage a legacy of art to be enjoyed and appreciated.

Residence: Highlands Ranch
About the Collection: Chris’ collection of photographs tell stories and show sights that many may never experience without seeing his images. He sets out to inspire others to enjoy life through photographs and adventure. His photographs are displayed on different materials, such as brushed aluminum and canvas.

Name: Matthew Hamer
Medium: Clay Hangings
About the Collection: Using a mixture of tools and techniques, Matt creates long, almost flat, works of clay out of Dover, porcelain and chestnut. Matt blends different textured clay to create multi-colored works that look like one solid piece. Recently, he has started adding paint to his art.

Name: Merry Wicks and Ivy Delon
About the Collection: These two artists create realistic paintings of florals and landscapes and some abstract pieces. All are done with watercolor, oils and/or mixed media.
