Colorado Avalanche Girls Hockey Event: Explore, Learn and Play for Free

Youth hockey players and those interested in trying out the sport are invited to explore, learn and play at the Colorado Avalanche Girls Hockey Event at the South Suburban Sports Complex this Thursday, June 17.
The evening kicks off with a Game On Street Hockey giveaway and the “Girls Try Hockey for Free” event, where girls ages 12 and younger will be provided with head-to-toe equipment to try hockey. On-ice drills will be led by US National Team goalie Nicole Hensley, Michele Amidon, Avalanche Amateur Hockey Development staff, and Team Colorado players. Attendees will then have the opportunity to meet Colorado native, U.S. Olympian and 2018 Gold Medalist Nicole Hensley for a picture and autograph!
On Friday, June 18, girls and boys ages 10 and younger are also invited to the “Try Goalie for Free” event, where they will be provided with full goalie equipment to try the position.

Girls Try Hockey For Free Event - 5:10 - 6:10 pm
Meet Nicole Hensley Event - 6:15 - 7:15 pm
Game On Street Hockey Giveaway - 4 – 7 pm
Friday, June 18:
Try Goalie for Free Event - 4:50 - 5:50 pm
