Each year, South Suburban closes its recreation centers to deep clean and make improvements. While your local center is closed, passes and punches may be used at any other South Suburban recreation center.

2022 Maintenance Week Closures:

Lone Tree Recreation Center: 
Closed August 1 - 5
Pool closed July 2 - Early August 

Improvements include: 
Refinish of wood floors, 
including the gym
Complete waterslide painting 
and repairs
Facility painting throughout
Update Willow Room flooring
Full pool drain and acid wash
Parking lot improvements
Boiler replacement
Overall facility deep clean

Buck Recreation Center: 
Closed August 15 - 19

Improvements include:
New lobby furniture
Upgrade the facility PA system
Install new pool lighting
Full pool drain and acid wash
Facility painting throughout
Depot floor replacement
Overall facility deep clean

Goodson Recreation Center: 
Closed August 29 - September 2 
Pool closed August 22 - September 5

Improvements include:
Replacement of Room 3 
accordion wall
Upgrade Gymnastics sound system 
Replaster main pool and hot tubs and regrout border tile
Facility painting touchup
Overall facility deep clean
