Community members are invited to celebrate new public art at Holly Park at a dedication event on Thursday, Nov. 9 at 4 pm. The event will feature light refreshments and remarks by the artist.
The new art, "Dichro Rings," also known as “Dichrolions,” by Denver-based artist Evan Beloni was selected by the South Suburban Public Art Committee through a comprehensive process out of twenty proposals. The sculpture consists of ten stainless steel rings inset with dichroic elements mounted on bent steel poles of various heights. Evan Beloni’s art utilizes dichroic materials that project and reflect different colors depending on the angle of light. His innovative techniques expose an entire color spectrum, adding to the natural beauty of the park.
