Getting a fresh tree for the holidays is a timeless and fun tradition many in our community enjoy. Once the holiday festivities are over, South Suburban is here to help dispose of trees in a convenient and environmentally-friendly way. 

South Suburban offers free tree recycling services at two locations: Cornerstone Park at 5150 S. Windermere Street in Littleton, at the corner of W. Belleview Ave. and S. Windermere St., and the Willow Spring Service Center at 7100 S Holly St. in Centennial. Community members can drop off trees at either location from sunrise to sunset between Dec. 26-Jan. 12. All decorations must be removed from your tree, including lights, ornaments, garland, tinsel, and stands. If the tree is wrapped in a plastic bag, it must be removed at drop-off. Flocked or artificial trees and yard refuse will not be accepted.

Recycling your tree is easy, environmentally-friendly, and free! Many waste removal companies do not accept trees, and trees thrown in the trash go to a landfill, where they take significantly longer to break down. Recycling trees benefits the environment and our community, because trees are processed and used as mulch in parks. South Suburban will also make excess mulch available to community members with a Free Mulch Pickup event in the spring.
