Whether you're an ice skater, a hockey player, learning how to skate, or just looking to glide on the ice, the Family Sports Ice Arena is the place for you.

Oh, and did we mention, it’s the practice facility for the Colorado Avalanche? So fans, stop by to watch them get ready for the next game. You might even get a signature or two.

Once you’ve built up an appetite, hit the concessions or eat at our full service restaurant and bar that overlooks the Avs’ practice sheet. 

Public Skating

Enjoy the freedom of ice open for you to practice, spend time with friends, or just glide. Children under 3 years old skate for free (does not include skate rental).

Take-A-Shot

25 participant limit. Full gear required (includes skates, shin pads, elbow pads, hockey pants, helmet, stick, gloves, and a jersey). Pre-registration available by calling day-of to the Family Sports Front Desk at 303.708.9500. Staff will NOT take reservations for future dates. Payment is required to reserve a spot. Goalies do NOT play free and must register for a spot. Children under 18 years old must have a full facemask, visors may be worn for those skaters who are over the age of 18.

Drop-in Hockey

Reservations are strongly recommended to secure your drop-in session time. Reserve online or by phone. 
Must be 18+ to play.
20 players maximum may participate.
